Chef Lou Smith isn’t one to sit around.
He’s the kind of guy who’s always moving, always improving, always helping. And in the current situation, there are plenty who need help.
On March 17, after Gov. Phil Murphy ordered New Jersey restaurants to close their dining rooms, Smith began to mobilize. One week later, he has 10 chefs ready to open their kitchens to feed the state’s healthcare workers, homebound seniors, veterans, first responders, and children and families in need.
